Fortunately, Babe's half sister Lucky Baby Star Reed (see broodmare page), took this baby on as her own even though she was unbred for the 2019 season. We used a drug called "domperidone" to bring her milk in (within 2 weeks). Abbe was supplemented for at least a month with a milk replacer, mare and foal grain, and hay as well as all the grass she could eat. After that, Lucky took completely over.
